A 500 hour yoga teacher training in Goa is the stage where a teacher stops repeating what they were taught and starts making their own decisions in the room. It is also one of the most misunderstood qualifications in yoga. People assume it is a single course. Often it is not. People assume the certificate makes them a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500 level. It does not, at least not by itself.
This guide explains how the 500-hour route actually works, what the curriculum covers, what it costs, when to come to Goa, how to check a school properly, and where the safety limits are. It also explains where Inteyoga fits, which is a narrower answer than most school blogs will give you.
Quick Answer
A 500 hour yoga teacher training in Goa is an advanced residential qualification made up of 500 total training hours. Most teachers reach it by completing a 200-hour course and then a 300-hour advanced course. Some schools run one continuous 500-hour intensive instead. The hours alone do not create a Yoga Alliance credential; registration is a separate step.
Key Takeaways
- 500 hours is cumulative, not additional. A 200-hour plus a 300-hour course equals 500 hours.
- RYS and RYT are different things. A school is registered; a teacher is registered. Neither is an accreditation.
- Goa’s training season runs roughly November to March, with the monsoon period generally unsuitable for long residential courses.
- Inteyoga is registered with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga School at RYS 200, RYS 300 and RYS 500 levels.
- The programme currently running at Inteyoga is the Advanced TTC 300-Hour Integrated Restorative Yoga (Including Yoga Nidra, Chakra Sadhana, and Prana Vidya Intensive), which forms the 300-hour component of the 500-hour route.
- Teaching experience between your 200-hour and your advanced course matters more than which school you pick.

What Is A 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training In Goa?
A 500 hour yoga teacher training in Goa is an advanced residential teacher training pathway totalling 500 hours of study, covering asana, anatomy, philosophy, pranayama, meditation, teaching methodology and supervised practice. It sits above the 200-hour foundation level and is generally aimed at people who already teach.
The number is a total, not an add-on. If you hold a 200-hour certificate and complete a 300-hour advanced course, you have 500 hours. Some schools package all 500 hours into one long intensive for people starting from zero. Both approaches end at the same number of hours, and the difference between them is structural rather than hierarchical.
Goa attracts this kind of long training for practical reasons. The dry season is long, residential accommodation for two months is affordable compared with Europe or North America, and the state has a well-established cluster of yoga schools across both North Goa and South Goa. Inteyoga is in Colva, in the Salcete taluka of South Goa.
One thing worth being clear about early: the certificate comes from the school. Yoga Alliance maintains a registry of schools and teachers. It does not examine students, and it does not accredit schools in the sense that a university accreditor does. That distinction changes how you should evaluate any course, and it is covered further down.
How Do You Actually Reach 500 Hours?
There are two routes to 500 hours, and choosing between them mostly depends on whether you need to teach and earn in the middle.
Route One: 200 Hours Plus 300 Hours
You complete a 200-hour teacher training first. You then teach for a while. Later you complete a 300-hour advanced course at the same school or a different one. Together they total 500 hours.
This is the more common route and, for most people, the better one. The gap between the two courses is where the advanced material becomes useful. Anatomy modules land differently once you have watched twenty real bodies struggle with the same pose. Sequencing theory means more once you have taught a class that fell flat.
The risk is drift. Leave a four-year gap and you arrive at the advanced course having forgotten most of the foundation.
Route Two: A Single Continuous 500 Hour Course
Some schools run a single 500-hour intensive that contains the foundational 200 hours inside it. These typically run eight to ten weeks residentially.
The advantage is coherence. One faculty builds the whole arc, so anatomy in week two connects to the adjustment lab in week seven. Nobody has to unlearn a contradictory alignment cue from a different school.
The disadvantage is obvious: eight to ten weeks away from work and family, paid for and travelled to in one go.
Which Route Suits You Better?
Choose the split route if you need income between the two trainings, if you want the option of changing schools, or if a two-month absence is not realistic. Choose the continuous route if you are changing careers, have the time, and want a single unbroken immersion.
There is no professionally superior option. Both end at 500 hours.
500 Hour Vs 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training: What Is The Difference?
People compare these as if they were rival products. They are not. A 300-hour course is the advanced module; 500 hours is the total you hold once the foundation and the advanced module are both complete.
| 300-Hour Advanced Course | 500-Hour Route | |
|---|---|---|
| Prerequisite | A completed 200-hour teacher training or equivalent | None if the course includes the 200 hours; otherwise a 200-hour certificate |
| Typical duration | Around 6 to 7 weeks residential | Around 8 to 10 weeks continuous, or two separate courses |
| Total hours held afterwards | 500, when added to a prior 200-hour course | 500 |
| Content focus | Advanced and specialist material only | Foundation plus advanced material |
| Yoga Alliance school designation | RYS 300 | RYS 500 |
| Suits | Teachers with real class experience | Career changers and those wanting one immersion |
| Main practical risk | Too long a gap after the 200-hour course | Large single commitment of time and money |
If you already hold a 200-hour certificate, do not book a 500-hour course. You would be paying to repeat material you have already covered. Book the 300-hour advanced course instead.
What Is The Difference Between RYS 500 And RYT 500?
RYS 500 describes a school. RYT 500 describes a teacher. The two are frequently confused, including on school websites.
- RYS 200, RYS 300 and RYS 500 are school registrations with Yoga Alliance, indicating that a school’s programme at that level has been reviewed against Yoga Alliance’s published standards.
- RYT 200 and RYT 500 are individual teacher registrations. A teacher applies for these directly and pays Yoga Alliance’s own fees.
- E-RYT designations indicate additional documented teaching experience beyond the base registration.
- There is no RYT 300 designation. If you see one advertised, the school has made a terminology error.
Completing a 300-hour course does not automatically make you an RYT 500. Yoga Alliance sets its own criteria for that credential, which include prior registration at the 200 level, the required training hours from Registered Yoga Schools, and a quantity of documented teaching experience.
Those criteria and the associated fees are revised periodically, so check the current requirements on Yoga Alliance’s own website before assuming what you will qualify for.
The correct way to describe a school’s status is registered with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga School. Phrases such as “Yoga Alliance accredited” or “Yoga Alliance certified school” are not accurate.
Who Is A 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Suitable For?
Advanced training suits teachers who have taught enough public classes to know what they cannot yet do. If you can build a sequence but cannot explain why one student’s knee keeps collapsing inward, the advanced material will have somewhere to land.
Good candidates include:
- Teachers with six months or more of regular teaching since their 200-hour course
- Teachers who want to lead workshops or retreats, where a 500-hour qualification is often expected
- Long-term practitioners with a stable daily practice who intend to teach professionally
- Studio owners who need to mentor junior teachers
- Teachers who want depth in a specific area such as restorative practice, Yoga Nidra or pranayama
Who Should Wait?
- Anyone who finished a 200-hour course recently and has not yet taught. Book the advanced course for next year and teach in the meantime.
- Anyone in acute injury recovery. Two daily practice sessions for six weeks is a genuine physical load.
- Anyone whose main motivation is a certificate for a CV line. It is a lot of time and money for a document you will not use.
Teaching experience between the two levels is the single strongest predictor of how much value an advanced course delivers.
What Does A 500 Hour Curriculum Cover?
Across the full 500 hours, the curriculum covers techniques and practice, anatomy and physiology, yoga philosophy and ethics, teaching methodology, and supervised practicum.
Yoga Alliance publishes minimum category hours for its Registered Yoga School standards, and those standards have been revised in recent years. Check the current published breakdown on Yoga Alliance’s site rather than relying on a school’s summary of it.
What follows describes what a strong advanced curriculum generally contains, based on the categories Yoga Alliance uses and common practice among established schools. Formats vary between providers, and no single format is an official requirement.
How Is Asana, Alignment And Adjustment Taught At Advanced Level?
Advanced asana work is less about difficult postures and more about getting an ordinary body into a workable version of a posture. Expect detailed study of the standing sequence, backbends, arm balances, inversions, and seated and finishing postures, with attention to how each is modified.
Adjustment is the area most 200-hour courses cover too quickly. An advanced course should give you dedicated hours on hands-on assists, consent protocols, verbal cueing, prop use, and modifications for tight hamstrings, restricted shoulders, hypermobility and previous injury.
How Much Anatomy And Physiology Is Included?
Applied anatomy is more useful than memorised anatomy. A good module covers the shoulder girdle, the hip joint and its structural limits, the spine under load, the sacroiliac joint, the knee in seated postures, and the mechanics of breathing.
The skill being built is observational. You should finish able to look at a student and form a reasonable hypothesis about why a posture is not working for them, and then test it by changing something.
Be cautious about how anatomy is framed. Claims that particular postures remodel fascia, release stored emotion, or detoxify organs go well beyond what current evidence supports.
What Philosophy, Sanskrit And Yoga History Is Covered?
Advanced philosophy goes past a summary of the eight limbs. Commonly studied texts include Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, sometimes with selected Upanishads. Sanskrit study usually covers posture names, chanting, and enough terminology to read a term correctly.
Yoga history is more contested than most course manuals admit. Attribution of particular styles and practices to particular founders is often disputed among scholars, and a good faculty will say so rather than presenting one version as settled.
Ethics deserves its own hours. Teacher-student power dynamics, scope of practice and consent are now standard content on serious advanced training.
How Are Pranayama, Meditation And Yoga Nidra Taught?
Pranayama at advanced level should be taught progressively and with contraindications stated. A typical progression moves from balancing and lengthening practices toward more vigorous techniques, and only then toward ratio work and retention.
Yoga Nidra is a guided practice conducted lying down, traditionally involving rotation of awareness through the body, breath awareness, and a sankalpa or resolve.
Research interest in it has grown, but the published evidence base remains limited and largely made up of small studies. It is reasonable to say that people frequently report feeling rested and calmer after practising it. It is not reasonable to say it treats insomnia, replaces sleep, or substitutes for clinical care.
Traditional frameworks such as prana, nadis, chakras and koshas are best taught as what they are: coherent traditional yogic models with their own internal logic and long textual history. Presenting them as established biomedical anatomy misrepresents both the tradition and the science.
How Much Supervised Teaching Practice Should You Expect?
Practicum is where an advanced course earns its cost. You should teach multiple full-length classes, receive structured feedback, observe peers, and be assessed at least once.
Ask any school directly how many classes you will personally lead. A school that cannot answer that has not planned it.
What Are The Benefits Of A 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training In Goa?
The practical benefits fall into three groups: professional access, teaching competence, and the depth that only sustained immersion produces.
Professional access. Many studios, retreat operators and training programmes expect a 500-hour qualification for senior roles. Lead trainer positions on Yoga Alliance registered courses have their own experience requirements, which you should verify on Yoga Alliance’s site.
Teaching competence. A newly qualified teacher delivers a sequence. A teacher with advanced training adapts that sequence for a sixty-year-old with a hip replacement and a hypermobile twenty-two-year-old in the same room, without stopping the class.
Usable anatomy. The gap between knowing that the psoas exists and knowing what to do when a student’s lower back pinches in a bridge posture is roughly fifty hours of applied study.
A changed personal practice. Weeks of twice-daily practice under correction does something that a weekly studio class cannot. This is the benefit graduates mention most often and the one hardest to describe in advance.
Cost efficiency. Training in India generally costs less than equivalent hours in Europe, North America or Australia, particularly once accommodation and food are included. Prices vary widely between individual schools, so compare specific current course pages rather than assuming a regional average.
A working season and workable logistics. Goa’s dry season is long, international access is straightforward for most nationalities, and healthcare is reachable.
A professional network. You finish alongside other teachers from other countries. Over the following years, some of them will send work your way.
Room to specialise. Most advanced programmes carry depth in a defined area, whether that is restorative practice, Yoga Nidra, yin, prenatal or pranayama. Specialisation is usually where teachers find sustainable work.
How Much Does A 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training In Goa Cost?
Course fees vary enormously between schools in Goa, and any single figure quoted as a market average should be treated with suspicion. Some schools publish all-inclusive residential pricing. Others separate tuition from accommodation. A few, including Inteyoga, do not charge course fees at all under a different model, described below.
Rather than quoting an average, check the current course page of each school you are considering.
What Is Usually Included And What Is Not?
The headline fee matters less than what sits outside it. This is where budgets break.
| Cost item | Usually included? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Tuition | Yes | The advertised fee |
| Accommodation | Often | Confirm shared versus private room pricing |
| Meals | Often | Confirm how many per day and whether rest days are covered |
| Course manual | Usually | Ask whether printed or digital |
| Yoga Alliance registration | No | Paid by you, directly to Yoga Alliance, after graduation |
| International flights | No | Return airfare to Goa |
| Visa | No | Cost varies by nationality |
| Travel insurance | No | Arrange medical cover for the full stay |
| Airport transfer | Sometimes | Ask specifically |
| Laundry, SIM card, local transport | No | Budget for the full duration |
| Rest-day travel and eating out | No | Usually the largest uncontrolled expense |
| Personal mat and props | No | Bring your own mat |
Ask any school for a written list of what is not included. A school that answers that question clearly and quickly is usually a school that runs a tight course.
What Is Inteyoga’s Gift-It-Forward Model?
Inteyoga currently follows a Gift-it-Forward model for its 300-hour programme. There is no payment required to apply and no payment required to participate. After completing the programme, participants may voluntarily support the Gift-it-Forward initiative so that future aspirants can train. There is no obligation to contribute.
This is not a discount, a scholarship scheme, or a pay-what-you-want arrangement. It is a distinct model, and participants should read the details on the course page before applying.
When Is The Best Time Of Year For Yoga Teacher Training In Goa?
The main training season in Goa runs from around November to March, when conditions are dry and daytime temperatures suit long practice sessions. The southwest monsoon generally affects Goa from around June to September, and many residential schools reduce or pause operations during it.
| Period | Typical conditions | Suitability for a long residential course |
|---|---|---|
| November to February | Dry, warm days, cooler mornings and evenings | Best conditions. Peak season, so book early |
| March to early April | Hot and increasingly humid | Workable and quieter. Afternoon practice becomes demanding |
| Late April to May | Very hot and humid | Difficult for a long intensive |
| June to September | Monsoon, heavy rainfall, high humidity | Many schools closed or operating reduced programmes |
| October | Post-monsoon, humid, green | Shoulder season with mixed conditions |
Seasonal patterns shift from year to year, so check a current forecast from the India Meteorological Department for the specific months of your course rather than relying on general guidance.
Because a long course runs six weeks or more, work backwards from your finish date as well as your start date. A course beginning in late February will end in the heat.
What Does A Residential Training Day Look Like?
A residential training day usually begins early, contains two practice sessions and several hours of theory, and finishes in the evening. Schedules differ between schools, and the following is a general pattern rather than any specific school’s timetable.
| Approximate time | Session |
|---|---|
| Early morning | Cleansing practices and self-practice |
| Before breakfast | Pranayama and meditation |
| Mid-morning | Main asana practice |
| Late morning | Anatomy or philosophy session |
| Midday | Teaching methodology and alignment work |
| Afternoon | Rest period |
| Late afternoon | Practicum, peer teaching and feedback |
| Evening | Restorative practice, Yoga Nidra or chanting |
| Night | Study and rest |
Most residential courses run six days a week with one rest day. The first fortnight is physically demanding for nearly everyone, and the load usually becomes manageable from around week three.
How Do You Choose A Registered Yoga School In Goa?
Verify a school’s registration directly on the Yoga Alliance directory rather than trusting a logo on a website. A badge with no searchable listing behind it is a problem.
Work through this before paying anything:
- Search the school on the Yoga Alliance directory and confirm that the registration level matches the course being sold.
- Ask who teaches each module. Anatomy taught by someone with no anatomy background is common and not ideal.
- Ask for the full syllabus with hours by subject. A school that cannot produce one has not built one.
- Ask the batch size. Large groups mean thin personal correction.
- Ask how many classes you will personally teach during practicum.
- Read reviews away from the school’s own website, looking for ones that name specific modules and specific teachers.
- Get the refund, deferral and cancellation policy in writing. Illness, visa refusal and family emergencies happen.
- Check that accommodation photographs show the actual property, and confirm the room arrangement.
- Ask about food, including how allergies and dietary requirements are handled. Six weeks of food you cannot eat is a real problem.
- Ask what happens if you fail an assessment. Serious schools do fail people.
- Ask whether the certificate is issued on attendance or on assessment. These are not the same.
- Ask what happens if you get injured mid-course, and whether missed contact hours can be made up.
Avoid judging a school by how confident its marketing sounds. Judge it by how specific its answers are.
Yoga Alliance Or The Yoga Certification Board: What Is The Difference?
Yoga Alliance is a US-based membership organisation that maintains registries of yoga schools and teachers. The Yoga Certification Board operates under India’s Ministry of AYUSH and runs a government certification scheme for yoga professionals. They are separate systems with different structures, different criteria and different purposes.
They are not interchangeable, and neither replaces the other. A common shorthand claims that one is for abroad and the other for India, which is too simplistic to be useful. Recognition in practice depends on the employer, the country and the specific role.
Both organisations revise their criteria periodically. If either credential matters to your plans, check the current requirements on the Yoga Alliance website and the Yoga Certification Board website before enrolling anywhere.
Be aware also that several organisations use similar names. Yoga Alliance and organisations with comparable names are not automatically the same body. Check the legal identity and official website of whichever registry a school refers to.
What Visa Do You Need For Yoga Teacher Training In India?
Visa requirements depend on your nationality, your length of stay, and the nature of the programme, so check the official Government of India visa portal before booking anything. Rules change, and no blog should be your source for this.
For Inteyoga’s current 300-hour programme, the institutional position is straightforward. The programme is a short-term yoga programme for personal growth and deeper yogic study, running 43 training days plus one arrival day and one departure day, which is 45 days in total. Participants receive a participation or completion certificate rather than an academic degree, a diploma, or a government-recognised professional qualification.
International participants use the Indian e-Tourist Visa route, subject to nationality-specific eligibility and current Government of India rules.
Inteyoga participants do not require a Student Visa for this programme. Other programmes at other institutions may fall into different categories depending on their duration and nature.
Never conceal the purpose of your travel, relabel the course, or provide inaccurate information on a visa application. Apply honestly and check current eligibility on the official portal.
How Should You Prepare Before The Course Starts?
Arrive with an established daily practice rather than a high level of flexibility. Consistency is what makes the first fortnight survivable.
A four-week run-up that works well:
| Weeks before | Focus |
|---|---|
| Four weeks | Move to daily practice, even thirty minutes. Consistency over intensity |
| Three weeks | Add a short seated breathing practice each morning. Begin reading a core text |
| Two weeks | Complete visa, insurance, medication supply and any dental work |
| One week | Reduce caffeine, shift bedtime earlier, pack light |
What to bring for a long stay in a warm, humid coastal climate:
- Your own mat and a mat towel for humid practice
- Five or six sets of fast-drying practice clothes
- Modest clothing for temple visits and public spaces
- A notebook and pens, since many courses require handwritten work
- Prescription medication for the full stay, with a copy of the prescription
- Basic first aid, rehydration salts, insect repellent and high-factor sunscreen
- A reusable water bottle
- A power adapter and power bank
- Printed copies of insurance documents and passport pages
Laundry is inexpensive and widely available in Goa, so pack fewer clothes than instinct suggests.
Is A 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Safe For Everyone?
No. A long residential intensive is a substantial physical and mental load, and it is not appropriate for every person or every medical condition. Speak to a qualified doctor before enrolling, and tell the school about any relevant condition before the course begins rather than on arrival.
Conditions That Need Medical Clearance First
- Pregnancy. A full-length intensive is generally not appropriate during pregnancy. Prenatal-specific training is a separate qualification.
- High or low blood pressure, which affects inversions and several vigorous breathing practices.
- Glaucoma and retinal conditions, where inversions are commonly contraindicated.
- Recent surgery. Wait for surgical clearance from your own doctor.
- Spinal conditions, including disc injury, spondylolisthesis and significant scoliosis.
- Cardiovascular disease, epilepsy, or a history of seizures.
- Hypermobility. Range of motion is not the objective; joint stability is.
- Current or past eating disorders. Long intensives with structured diets carry real risk here, and this needs a conversation with your treating clinician.
- Acute mental health difficulties. Extended meditation and breathing practice can be destabilising for some people. A good school will handle disclosure well.
A Note On Pranayama And Meditation Intensity
Vigorous breathing practices and long meditation sessions are not neutral. Some people experience dizziness, agitation, disturbed sleep or dissociation, particularly when practices are introduced quickly or practised beyond instruction. Tell your teacher if any practice produces distress, and stop rather than pushing through.
A 200-hour or 300-hour teacher training does not qualify anyone as a yoga therapist. Yoga therapy has its own training standards, maintained by bodies such as the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Teaching a supportive or restorative practice is not the same as treating a medical condition.
What Can You Do After Completing 500 Hours?
Advanced training opens roles that a foundation certificate does not, though none of them arrive automatically.
Realistic paths include senior studio teaching and workshops, leading retreats, assisting on teacher trainings before eventually leading them, specialising in restorative practice or Yoga Nidra or another defined area, corporate and one-to-one work, and online teaching.
One honest observation about the profession: certificates open doors, but they do not create students. Teaching consistently in one place over several years does. Plan for that timeline rather than expecting the qualification itself to generate demand.
Common Misconceptions About 500 Hour Training
“A 200-hour plus a 300-hour course automatically makes me RYT 500.” It does not. Registration is a separate application to Yoga Alliance with its own criteria and fees.
“Yoga Alliance accredits schools.” It registers them. The wording matters, and schools that use “accredited” are usually being careless rather than dishonest.
“There is an RYT 300.” There is not.
“A 500-hour course is always better than a 300-hour course.” If you already hold 200 hours, a 300-hour course is the correct next step and a 500-hour course would repeat material.
“All Indian teacher trainings cost roughly the same.” Pricing and models vary widely, including schools that charge nothing to participate.
“More advanced training means I can treat medical conditions.” It does not. That is a separate professional field with separate standards.
Advanced TTC 300-Hour Integrated Restorative Yoga At Inteyoga
Inteyoga, also known as Swami Krishnananda Yoga Vidyapeeth, is registered with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga School at RYS 200, RYS 300 and RYS 500 levels. It is located in Colva, in South Goa, and managed by Inteyoga Shala LLP.
The programme currently running is the Advanced TTC 300-Hour Integrated Restorative Yoga (Including Yoga Nidra, Chakra Sadhana, and Prana Vidya Intensive). For a teacher who already holds a 200-hour qualification, this course provides the 300-hour component of the 500-hour route.
What The Programme Covers
The programme is built around integrated restorative practice, with three named areas of emphasis: Yoga Nidra, Chakra Sadhana and a Prana Vidya Intensive. Chakra Sadhana and Prana Vidya are taught within the traditional yogic framework from which they come, rather than being presented as biomedical physiology.
It is an advanced yoga teacher training programme rather than a beginner retreat, and the daily structure reflects that.

Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does A 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training In Goa Take?
It depends on the route. A single continuous 500-hour course usually runs eight to ten weeks residentially. The more common route splits it: a 200-hour course first, then a 300-hour advanced course later. Inteyoga’s Advanced TTC 300-Hour programme runs 43 training days plus an arrival and departure day, which is 45 days in total.
Do I Need A 200-Hour Certificate Before Advanced Training?
For a 300-hour advanced course, yes. Inteyoga requires applicants to have completed at least a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course or an equivalent qualification. A single 500-hour intensive that includes the foundation hours would not require prior certification, but confirm the format before booking, since enrolling on a 300-hour course without a 200-hour certificate will not be accepted.
Is A Yoga Teacher Training In Goa Recognised Internationally?
Recognition comes from the school’s registration rather than the location. A course from a school registered with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga School carries the same standing regardless of country. Verify the registration yourself on the Yoga Alliance directory. Some Indian schools also engage with the Ministry of AYUSH Yoga Certification Board scheme, which is a separate system.
What Is The Difference Between RYS 500 And RYT 500?
RYS 500 is a school registration indicating the school is registered to deliver training at that level. RYT 500 is an individual teacher registration held by a person. You train at a Registered Yoga School and then apply separately to become a Registered Yoga Teacher. The criteria and fees for individual registration are set by Yoga Alliance and change periodically.
Can A Complete Beginner Do A 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training?
Only if the course includes the foundational 200 hours, and even then it is rarely advisable. Most schools expect a year or more of regular personal practice before an intensive of this length. Without that base, the physical load in the opening fortnight is hard to absorb and the risk of injury rises. Inteyoga’s advanced programme requires a prior 200-hour qualification.
Does Inteyoga Charge A Fee For The 300-Hour Programme?
Inteyoga currently follows a Gift-it-Forward model. There is no payment required to apply and no payment required to participate. After completing the programme, participants may voluntarily support the Gift-it-Forward initiative to help future aspirants, and there is no obligation to contribute. Full details are on the course page.
What Visa Do International Participants Need?
For Inteyoga’s current 45-day programme, international participants use the Indian e-Tourist Visa route, subject to nationality-specific eligibility and current Government of India rules. A Student Visa is not required for this programme. Check the official Indian visa portal for current requirements before booking flights, as rules and eligibility change.
What Happens If I Get Ill Or Injured During The Course?
Ask about this before you apply anywhere. A well-run school will let you modify practice, sit out sessions and make up contact hours where possible. Arrange travel insurance with medical cover for the full duration of your stay, and confirm the school’s written policy on deferral and refunds so you know where you stand in advance.
