To help you prepare for your stay and plan your journey, this arrival guide is divided into three sections:
1. What to Bring
- Valid photo identification: International participants (including OCI cardholders) should bring their original passport with a valid Indian visa or other applicable entry authorization. Indian participants should bring a Passport, Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Voter ID, or another valid government-issued photo ID.
- Three recent passport-size photographs.
- One recent digital passport-style photograph: Please keep a clear digital photograph available on your phone or email. This may be used for your digital course certificate and, where required, for government accommodation or foreigner-reporting formalities.
- Notebook and pens for lectures, personal notes, and assignments.
- Yoga mat for your daily practice.
- Comfortable, modest clothing for asana classes:
- Upper body: T-shirt or similar clothing covering the shoulders, chest, and back.
- Lower body: Comfortable trousers, track pants, leggings, or similar clothing extending below the knees.
- Any regular or prescribed medicines and supplements you may require during the entire course, along with the relevant prescription where applicable.
- Travel and health insurance (recommended): While we do not require participants to provide proof of travel or health insurance, we strongly recommend obtaining adequate coverage for the entire duration of your stay in India.
- Mosquito repellent.
- A small torch/flashlight and umbrella.
- A reusable water bottle.
- Personal toiletries and other daily-use items.
- Indian currency (INR): Carrying a small amount of cash for personal expenses is optional but recommended.
- Travel/power adaptor if your electronic devices use plugs that are not compatible with Indian electrical sockets.
Weather: Please check the expected weather in Goa before travelling and bring appropriate seasonal clothing. Lightweight and breathable clothing is generally recommended year-round. Mornings and evenings from November to February can be cool, so a light shawl or sweater is useful. Rainwear is worth packing during the monsoon months, and quick-drying fabrics are practical at any time of year.
Important: Smoking, consumption of alcohol, and the use of any other intoxicants are strictly prohibited throughout the duration of the course.
2. How to Reach Our Centre
From Madgaon Railway Station
From Dabolim International Airport (GOI)
- Inteyoga (Swami Krishnananda Yoga Vidyapeeth) is located in Goa, India. The nearest railway station is Madgaon Railway Station (MAO). The nearest airport is Dabolim International Airport (GOI). Participants may also arrive via Manohar International Airport (GOX), which is Goa’s second international airport.
- To reach us from the airport or railway station, we recommend using a taxi service of your choice. In Goa, many visitors and residents commonly use the GoaMiles mobile app to book taxis, particularly for travel to and from airports, railway stations, and other major transportation hubs. These services generally offer a convenient and reliable travel experience.
- For added convenience and transparency, we recommend paying for your ride through the mobile application using a card or digital payment method whenever possible. This can help avoid misunderstandings regarding fares and ensure a smoother travel experience.
- We also recommend carrying a reasonable amount of cash in Indian Rupees (INR) for small purchases, local transportation, or situations where digital payment facilities may be unavailable.
- Please note that Swami Krishnananda Yoga Vidyapeeth is not affiliated with GoaMiles or any other transportation provider. Any transportation recommendations are provided solely for the convenience of participants.
3. Check-in & Arrival Time
Arrival time: Participants are requested to arrive at the centre on the scheduled arrival date of the course, preferably between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM IST. Please plan your travel accordingly.
